Course Objectives
(pdf:
CourseDescription TOGAF )
The course is aimed at providing a thorough
understanding of the concepts and principles of Enterprise
Architecture in general and the Open Group TOGAF framework and
Architecture Development Method (ADM) in particular. For successful
candidates, the course results in certification as an accredited
TOGAF 8 Architect.
The course also contains the TOGAF 8->9
bridging course, which helps architects to
prepare TOGAF 9 bridging certification which has be taken with prometric
or other test institutes. The advantage of this approach is that
participants are likely to be certified TOGAF 8 architects after
the course and have the option to do one prometric test for v.9
instead of the 2 prometric tests required for a "from scratch" 9
certification.
Prerequisites
Candidates should have several years
general experience and exposure to I.T. Prior knowledge of
Enterprise Architecture is an advantage.
Format and Duration
This is an instructor led course, backed by
a case study and engaging students in individual and group
assignments. The course duration is four and a half days. An
optional half-day introduces students to collaborative modelling
and knowledge management tools to support the use of TOGAF in
the enterprise.
